I Wish Wednesday

I wish I had more money for clothes. I just looked at myself in the ladies' room mirror and I look ridiculous. I wish I could go home and change clothes. I look like I have on pajamas. Everything is baggy and stupid looking. I might actually change clothes during lunch today I am so embarrassed. I look fatter than I actually am too...my body is hiding under all the shapeless clothing I have on.

I think I might have to break down and buy a few things. I just didn't want to spend too much on clothes that might not fit by the end of fall... I already checked all my discount stores and I couldn't find any cheap stuff (at least not cheap enough for the likes of me, Ms. Frugal Pants). Everything on clearance right now is capri pants and what-not and I need long pants for fall/winter...

I definitely know what you mean! I am going through the same thing. I don't want to buy anything because I am NOT going to be at this size for very long, but at some point you need a few things to get you through. Try checking out second hand stores. You can find some really nice things there, sometimes for 3 or 4 dollars. Good luck!

I know exactly what you mean. I've been lucky to find a few things at my local thrift store. I would seriously suggest checking those out. Macy's also has some great buys believe it or not. I spent $80 (which was more than I had but I was desperate) and got enough pieces to be able to switch out my wardrobe with four or five outfits. I also invested in 1 good pair of leggings to go with longer sweaters and dresses.

Sucks not having money and having clothes that literally HANG off of you. I've been known to safety pin both sides of my pants.

I've been lucky so far, I've been able to shop from my closet. Clothes are necessary though! Good luck!

What size are you now? Maybe some of the sisterhood has clothes to pass on.

@Justawallflower - I am still pretty sizable and I have a hard time finding things my size in the thrift store, but I have started looking!

@Bonnie - Once again, I'm still pretty sizable and wear a 24/26 in pants right now. I haven't seen a lot of sisterhood stuff in my range...I might have to wait until I lose some more!
